I made some further progress on the blaster these past 2 days, primed again, sanded, filled in some of the imperfections with putty, sanded some more (600 grit followed by 1500) and applied the first layer of black gloss paint. Once I applied this, it highlighted a few left over indents and areas that needed sanding some more which I’ve now gone over. Tomorrow I will apply another layer of the black gloss, followed by the black matt. Once done, I am intending on applying the silver pattern to the handle.
I still need to order the two lacquers but hopefully the bulk of the pattern work will be done by the end of tomorrow leaving the smaller pieces to be primed, sanded and painted as needed. Hopefully by the end of Thursday or Friday I will have it complete 😀
